The Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (RQF) confirms the ability to meet ‘license to practise’ requirements. A personal licence is also required to apply to become a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). Intended Audience The Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification. It has been specifically designed for those who want to work in, or are looking to advance their career in the licensed retail sector, such as in a retail, bar, restaurant or pub setting. Overview This 1 day course allows holders of the qualification to apply for a personal licence under the Licensing Act 2003 (England and Wales) which allows the holder to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol on licensed premises. Successful candidates will gain an understanding of the application process for a personal licence, the legal duties of a personal licence holder and the role, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities.
